Seriously though, some interesting ideas there James. Adding Genius to the App Store would be one more differentiator that sets Apple apart.

For the on-device store, I think the app would have to be badged with two icons – one for updates and one for notifications of Genius-suggested apps.

I foresee one problem though: unlike music, you don’t necessarily buy more of the same. If I’ve got one calculator replacement, I don’t need another. However, if I buy racing games, I’d probably like to know when new ones are released.
