There’s also an interview with him on Photocritic here: http://photocritic.org/interview-with-an-iphone-photographer/

It just goes to show, that even when the iPhone gets a camera with greater resolution, it’s still no substitute for the skill of composing superb photos.

V1.2 has just been released with a couple of new features including a hue/saturation control.

Also, the developer has added a video to his website showing the app in action. The big surprise for me was seeing the eraser used to selectively erase the effects of a previously applied effect. The significance of this is it could be used to get similar results to using selections i.e. applying effects to certain areas of an image while leaving other parts untouched. While not as flexible or easy to use as proper selections, at least it gives you more options.

For anyone interested, I’ve now discovered how to delete points I create in the Curves tool. The trick is to drag them off the top or bottom of the Curves window. I had tried dragging them off to the left and right previously but hadn’t thought that dragging them up or down would make a difference. I suspect I unconsciously thought that would activate one of the tools located there so didn’t try it.

Easy when you know how but shouldn’t it work whichever direction you drag them off?

This is a real in-depth look at an app from someone who knows what he’s talking about. And a mean cariacature of The Undecider-in-Chief as well!

Although I also wouldn’t do much heavy-duty photo editing within an iPhone app, imagine how much more useful an app of this sort would be if Apple came out with some sort of iTablet…
