The fact that I'm typing this at 01:04 AM shows how good this app is. Your review is spot on, this really is a 'superb platform'.

It nicely demonstrates the power of in-app purchasing. The barrier to entry is nothing more (or less!) than the actual cost. There is no time, effort or frustration involved, everything is slick, super-slick in fact.

I have a large collection of Edge and Mac User magazines dating back to 1990. I stopped buying them because they were too expensive and the effort involved in shop purchasing just added to the expense. If I could purchase those magazines in an iPhone format at half the cost of a subscription copy I'm certain that I would do so.

As the owner of a print company I must be a fool for saying this, but I really believe that print as we know it will be gone within 10 years.
