Very interesting comment there John! If it is just a mockup, then it’s one that hasn’t been seen in public before, and so gives us an idea of what the Beeb may be thinking for a native app. I don’t suppose you can give any more details of the functionality of the late Xmas pressie? Thanks.

You’re right that posts have been few and far between, but I’m now aiming to get one a week at least. I don’t like to turn out dross so they can take a while to write!

As for the iPlayer app – it could just be a mock up, as I said. But it’s a strange place to reveal one (if it was intentional), as the Powerpoint presentation is aimed squarely at the press.

Mock up or not, I also want want want, especially if the app can do TV out

Posts here have been a bit lean of late but when you come up with a peach like this, I’ll forgive. Native iplayer? I want I want I want. Actually, I don’t forgive because now all my time will be spent waiting for it to show up in the AppStore. Shame yesterday wasn’t March 31st and I could disregard this as a piece of tomfoolery.
