Really this doesn't add much to the game. As for the leaderboard feature, this uses a combination of items and times to rank you against all other players. At the time of reading this I am 15th in the world. I don't know whether this is because I've played quite a bit in order to review the game, or whether there just aren't a lot of players. All in all the update has added a little bit, but I still feel there is more that can be done.
