I’ve already looked two cases for the iPhone 3G & 3GS from Pro/Tec – the Executive and Energy.
The final case I was given by Memory Card Zoo was the Griffin elan form graphite. I thought it was a bit bling, but gradually warmed to it.

I’ve already looked at Pro/Tec’s Executive leather case, and now I’m moving on to their Energy case, which contains a battery to keep your iPhone going.
I’ve never tried one of these recharging cases before, so let’s see how I got on.
I have a few iPhone 3G / 3GS cases left over to review, so I’m going to write them up then give them away!
First up is the Pro/Tec Protective Leather case.
I’ve recently reviewed the Proporta Soft Feel Silicon Case and the VOi! Lorem. Lastly in this series of case reviews is the iWrap.
This is a totally different proposition – it’s not a case, it’s a plastic cover, but it goes over the whole phone. And you need to use adhesive to stick it on.
To be honest, I was a bit worried about what was going to happen to my iPhone when I took this review on.
I’ve already reviewed the Proporta Soft Feel Silicon Case, and next up in my series of case reviews is the VOi! Lorem. I was quite impressed with the Proporta case, but this one is different – it’s a hard case with changeable front pieces.
Plus, it’s the only case Ive seen with an integrated lanyard in the back, to help you hold on to your iPhone.
Will it be enough tempt me away from the Proporta case?
I have a few iPhone cases to review, and I’m going to kick off with one from Proporta. I’ve always had a silicon case for my iPhones, as I have a tendency to drop them. I’ve reviously been using a cheap silicon case for my iPhone 3G from Carphone Warehouse, which I reviewed in an earlier article.
That case was a bargain at a tenner, whereas Proporta’s Soft Feel Silicon Case for iPhone 3G and 3GS is five pounds more.
So how does the pricier case compare?
You’ve got to love Proporta, one of the world’s leading phone accessory makers. Not only are they British(!), they’re great people, they even have their own chatty office blog.
And, for the Apple iPhone, they’ve put together three cases and have kindly sent over samples for review on All About iPhone. In no particular order, here’s a look at their Perfora case, their Maya pouch and the all-conquering Alu-Leather Edge case. All three have their merits, as shown below…

My Apple iPhone doesn’t need charging anymore! Well, at least that’s what I’d like to say.
My intention, while testing the Brando Solar Charger Sheath (called the ‘Solar powered leather case‘ on their site), was to not have to plug my iPhone into the wall or into a PC or Mac – I wanted to run completely green. And the weather’s been playing ball too, with back to back sunshine for 3 days in the UK Autumn.
In terms of design, the case itself is as converged as the iPhone, although I have to report that there are a few serious caveats and flaws that should be noted. Read on…
