Create with Context have done an interesting study of how people
actually use the iPhone, and released some of their findings in a PDF:

After reading this, I hope I’m not alone in thinking there are a lot of thick people using iPhones. Suppose it goes hand in hand with the other recent study; that showing greatest growth of iPhone users are with those having below average income.

    Great find Jim!

It’s interesting to see how some users don’t immediately grasp the interface. I guess it’s the difference between people who are happy to poke around with a new interface, and try things vs. those who are more reticent in case “something goes wrong”.

It would also be very interesting to compare user interaction on other phones.
